BSc (Hons) Psychology/ Dip. Therapeutic Counselling/ Registered MBACP (Accred)

Qualifications: I hold a psychology degree and an advanced diploma in therapeutic counselling. I continue my professional development with regular training and personal growth. I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, which means I adhere to a well-established ethical framework and code of practice.

Experience: Over the years I have counselled people from different racial, religious and cultural backgrounds. I have a wide range of experience in areas including;  anxiety management, depression, improving self-esteem, confidence building, resolving suicidal thoughts, improving relationship issues, anger management, and coping with loss and bereavement.

As a counsellor, I have worked with Mind in Croyden, Maytree (a respite for those in suicidal crisis), Birmingham Counselling Services, Forward Thinking Birmingham, and Optima Health (a leading UK occupational health company).

Approach:  As an Integrative counsellor I have received training in psychoanalysis, transactional analysis, person-centred and Gestalt therapy.

Being an integrative counsellor enables me to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet an individual's needs and goals. For some clients, it may be beneficial to explore childhood experiences and early relationships, in order to understand current relational difficulties. However, for others, it may be more beneficial to manage presenting issues with techniques (i.e.: breathing exercises, relaxation tech) or strategies (i.e.: signposting, self-care plan).

Din is a popular choice on business and tech sites. It's also a good font for creating page titles with impact.

Counselling Minds

Life can be difficult at times for all of us, the challenges we face can leave us feeling stuck, alone, angry and scared. My practice was set up with this in mind, that at some point, we all need support.
