Bsc (Hons) Psychology/ Dip. Therapeutic Counselling/ Registered MBACP
Qualifications: I have completed a degree in psychology and a advanced diploma in therapeutic counselling. I continue to further my professional development with on-going training and personal growth. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
Experience: Over the years I have counselled people from different racial, religious and cultural backgrounds. and I have a wide range of experience in areas including; coping with anxiety and depression, improving self-esteem, confidence building, dealing with suicidal intent, improving relationship issues, anger management and coping with grief, loss and bereavement.
As a counsellor I have worked with Mind in Croyden, Maytree (a respite for those in suicidal crisis) and Birmingham Counselling Services. Where I have had the opportunity to worked with a diverse group of people exploring various life problems.
Approach: As an Integrative counsellor I have received training in psychoanalysis, transactional analysis, person centred and Gestalt therapy. Whilst qualified I have also gained experience in solution focused brief therapy and further developed my understanding of anxiety, depression and relationship issues.
Life can be difficult at times for all of us, the challenges we face can leave us feeling stuck, alone, angry and scared. My practice was set up with this in mind, that at some point,
we all need support.
